I assembled a new computer(Core2Duo 1.8, 2GB RAM) this summer. After 2 months of using it, one night my hard disk(Maxtor 250GB SATA) suddenly started to make strange noises! After I opened my case, I realized that I have assembled the poor hard disk upside down!

So my hard was seek for like one month and I didn't care till it completely died! I put it in my desk drawer and bought a new Western Digital one.

It kept bothering me that I had an extra 250GB Hard Disk and I couldn't use it!(Even the guaranty people couldn't fix it!) Till yesterday, I read a useful comment on Updateblog about healing a hard disk! I took the advice(cause I had nothing to lose!) and put the hard in the freezer for 18hours. Today, after I took it out and tested it, It was completely alive!

Vista Messenger! A good example of a totally screwed software that makes u wanna kill urself every time u run it! I mean ... There are so many things that are not there in spite of it's really beautiful interface.

I currently use Windows Live OneCare but as you know it's not a free product and it has just a 90-day free evaluation (Unfortunately...). Today I found this! C.O.M.O.D.O offers a free Firewall and Antivirus and apparently, they are Award-Winning!

Has anybody actually used these programs?!
